A proud moment for the Pharmacy 777 Pascoe Vale team, who have been recognised this week as the winner of the Outstanding Pharmacy category at the 2026 North West Melbourne Local Business Awards. - Opens in new tab
Just three years ago, Owner & Pharmacist Swarup Afsar - Opens in new tab took over the pharmacy and embarked on a journey of transformation, adopting the Pharmacy 777 model with a clear purpose: to make a meaningful difference to the health and wellbeing of the Pascoe Vale community.
For Swarup, the recognition is ultimately a reflection of the people behind the pharmacy and the community they are privileged to serve.
“The work we do always comes back to the same thing - supporting the community we are privileged to serve. We’re incredibly grateful for this recognition, but even more grateful for the people who made it possible.”
Led by Sara Murdock - Opens in new tab, Pharmacist Manager, the team has worked tirelessly to create a pharmacy experience centred around patient care, health education and meaningful connections with the local community.
The team’s vision is simple: to be the pharmacy where patients walk in and walk out feeling that little bit healthier and supported.
A key part of that journey has been building a team of passionate pharmacists who are committed to continuous learning and delivering personalised care. Their dedication to patients and enthusiasm for expanding their knowledge has become a defining part of the pharmacy.
The pharmacy has also undergone a significant transformation, supported by the Pharmacy 777 project team. A previously tired and narrow premises was redesigned to improve workflow and create more opportunities for private, one-on-one interactions between pharmacists and patients.
For Sara, the transformation has always been about creating a pharmacy that can better support the needs of the people who walk through its doors.
“We have always believed that community pharmacy should be about more than dispensing medicines. It’s about being accessible, listening, supporting people when they need it, and continuing to find ways to provide better healthcare for our community.”
But the team’s impact extends well beyond the pharmacy walls.
Sara and the Pascoe Vale team regularly take their health expertise into the local community, delivering health education and health services to businesses, organisations and community groups across the area.
Their approach reflects a commitment to being an active and accessible health partner within the community, not simply a place people visit when they need a prescription.
The award is a wonderful recognition of the team’s commitment to Pascoe Vale and the difference they strive to make every day.
The Pharmacy 777 Group wish to congratulations to Swarup, Sara and the entire Pharmacy 777 Pascoe Vale team on this well-deserved achievement. We’re incredibly proud to see their passion for patient care, health and community recognised.
