Looking forward to 2026 - an outlook from the voices behind Pharmacy 777.
Meet our Directors - David Speak and Kim Brotherson
With over 30 years experience as Pharmacists and Business Partners - together, they bring a wealth of expertise, knowledge and vision - leading the 777 Group with a passion for meeting the health care needs of our community.
It has been a exciting time for the Industry, following the first year from the signing of the 8th Community Pharmacy Agreement (8CPA) between the Pharmacy Guild and the Australian Government and the addition of the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia's inaugural agreement in 2024.
David and Kim both share a very promising outlook for the future vision of the Industry to deliver better health care access for all Australians through Pharmacists working to their full scope of practice in collaboration with the wider health care network.
David Speak - Founder, Chair
"777 Group is all about bringing together independent pharmacists in a collaborative approach to support their growth.
We’re here to serve our people - pharmacy owners, interns, team members.
A clear vision for the future and a supportive culture driven by purpose and our core values is the reason behind why we invest in good people making them great, providing career pathways for interns towards ownership opportunities as we expand our independent community pharmacy network nationwide. If we can impart what we've learned through our careers onto the younger generation so that in the future, our organisation and the culture continues on as a legacy, to be a shining light of what you can do if you do the right thing, that would be a worthy goal to achieve.
I believe pharmacy will be the centrepiece for health in Australia. Future growth drives opportunity and it's now a pivotal time for Pharmacists and owners to take advantage of developments as our Industry goes through change. It is through this approach that together, we can implement all that full scope has to offer."
Kim Brotherson - Founder, Director
"2026 presents an exciting opportunity as we enter a new phase for the Industry.
The key growth area for Community Pharmacists - both professionally and from a business point of view is to lean into the opportunities full scope of practice can provide.
We understand how independent community pharmacy owners must navigate the current uncertain environment, however, central to their future is recognising that now is the time to take action and make the necessary changes to ensure their business growth and success.
Importantly, nurturing a culture that support graduates and enables Pharmacists and technicians to dispense their knowledge, will be key in providing consistent service, optimising the benefits of the 8CPA.
A key foundation of 777 Group is actively creating career pathways for our Pharmacists with a strong focus on culture of trust and respect.
In talking to many young professionals, there’s enthusiasm and passion to lean into full scope opportunities the Pharmacy Guild and PSA are championing for to include within current practice frameworks.
The challenge for the next generation is to push through the barriers and not give up on transforming the industry into their vision for future pharmacy. One where Pharmacists continue to develop their capabilities, bringing their knowledge into environments maximising positive community health impacts.
Our population is ageing, our health system is under pressure, and pharmacy can and is playing an increasingly important role in the lives of everyday Australians.
And that’s why we take the training and development of our interns seriously at 777 Group, to nurture them to become the best they can be. We believe that giving our interns opportunities to learn, grow and prosper throughout their careers helps them thrive in the industry.
Our people are inspired to innovate, push through boundaries, transform the industry and make a real difference to community health."
