Pharmacy 777 was proud to be part of NAPSA Congress 2026, held last week in Sydney, joining pharmacy students and interns from across Australia and New Zealand for one of the most important events on the student pharmacy calendar. As a Group committed to the future of pharmacy, NAPSA Congress was a valuable opportunity to connect, learn, and demonstrate how community pharmacy can be a destination for meaningful, clinical careers.
The week kicked off in memorable fashion with Pharmacy 777 sponsoring the official Welcome Night, set against the stunning backdrop of Sydney Harbour. The evening provided a relaxed and welcoming environment for students to connect with peers, leaders and industry partners, setting the tone for a week focused on learning, collaboration and inspiration.
On Monday, Pharmacy 777 hosted an education session led by Stefan Vrankovic, Proprietor at Pharmacy 777 Albion Park, who introduced students to the Pharmacy 777 model and what sets it apart from traditional community pharmacy. The session explored the future of pharmacy, including full scope of practice, and how Pharmacy 777’s pharmacist-led model is designed to support pharmacists to work at the top of their scope. Students gained insight into how clinical pharmacy services can thrive within a community setting, and how a career with Pharmacy 777 can offer diverse pathways, strong support and real opportunities to grow as a clinically minded pharmacist.
The session was followed by an engaging and honest presentation from Shaylee Mills, known online as The Rural Pharmacist. Drawing on her own early-career experiences, Shaylee shared practical strategies to help students navigate uncertainty, build confidence, and shape the kind of pharmacist they want to become. Her session strongly resonated with students who are preparing to transition from university into practice.
Shaylee shared, “My time at NAPSA Congress, representing Pharmacy 777 and @theruralpharmacist, was the perfect way to start 2026. The energy from the students was infectious, and it was incredibly rewarding to move beyond my online platform and have meaningful, face-to-face conversations - ranging from rural career pathways to the exciting landscape of community pharmacy. Today's students are eager to innovate, reaffirming that the future of pharmacy is in safe hands. I’m grateful to Pharmacy 777 for facilitating these connections and supporting the next generation of pharmacists so actively. – Shaylee Mills”
The week wrapped up with the highly anticipated trade exhibition on Friday, where Pharmacy 777 Pharmacists along with Pharmacy 777 General Manager, Jared Rayner, enjoyed energising conversations with students, shared insights into life in community pharmacy, and gave away plenty of 777 merchandise, including a major prize of a trip to Pharmacy 777’s Momentum Conference in November 2026.
We closed the week at the Gala Ball with the exciting announcement that NAPSA Congress 2027 will be held in Perth. As a Western Australia–founded group and the largest pharmacy group in WA, Pharmacy 777 is thrilled to welcome NAPSA to our home state and looks forward to continuing to support students and showcase the future of community pharmacy at a national level.
