Pharmacy 777's City to Surf success
Thanks to our generous supporters, we have raised over $25 500 to support Western Australian’s living with MS!
It was a cold start to the race day, with our 145 strong Pharmacy 777 team members braving the winds to join thousands of others participating in the 2019 City to Surf, held on Sunday 25th August.
Team 777 members wore their bright blue singlets, creating a sea of blue in the 4km walks, 12km runs and half marathon in support of MSWA. Once reaching the City Beach finish line, they enjoyed a sausage sizzle, cooked by our General Manager – Jason Brotherson, and a well-earned rest!
Participating in the City to Surf and donating to the 777 Team has become a Pharmacy 777 tradition over the past 9 years. It has been an initiative introduced by our Managing Director – Kim Brotherson, a long-time supporter of MSWA.
“This year was bigger than ever before, and I cannot wait to see how much we raise for MSWA next year!” said Kim Brotherson.
This year’s outstanding fundraising total wouldn’t be possible without the $10 000 donation form the Pharmacy 777 Community Foundation. The generosity this brought continued in the weeks leading up to the race, and some weeks to follow, bringing our grand total to $25 755.21 being raised – a record achievement!
Since 2011, the Pharmacy 777 team – along with the support of team members, family and patients – have raised over $150 000 in support of MSWA.
